Remarks

Everything about the college is great. Just the college is located in the outskirts of the city so travelling is an issue. Rest all is great.

Entrance Exam

For admission into the BA English course, I did not give any entrance test. Admission is just based on the class 12th marks. The minimum eligibility criteria is more than 60% in 12th standard. Candidates might also have to give a personal interview.

Fees

The total fee for my course is around Rs 35k including other small expenses. The fee is pretty cheap and the quality of education is also very good.

Placements

I do not have any much knowledge about the placements. Post graduation students either go for lectureship or postgraduate. Though I would recommend students to go for masters degree if they want to get a good job.

Hostel and Facilities

The college hostel is great. AC & non-Ac rooms are provided to the students. The fee for the hostel is around 1.3 lakhs. The rooms are very spacious and have the basic furniture.

Alumni

Students have to connect with the alumni on their own. Though the college organizes a alumni meets but very few alumni turn up for the event.

Faculty

The faculty is very helpful and keep on motivating the students for their betterment. All of the faculty is very qualified and most of them have their PH.d’s in literature. They also gave us their contact details to us in case we need any help.

Campus Life

The college has a number of clubs in which students can enroll and bring out the hidden talent. I was also part of the literary, photography and dance clubs. I enjoyed and learned a lot there. Various events kept on happening all round the year. Most of these were organizes by different departments or clubs. There were also inter-university and inter-college competition. Our university is pretty active when it comes to events in sports or arts and students were encouraged to involve in these.

Academics

There are 2 semesters every year. There are two main exams i.e mid sem and end sem. End sem carry the highest weightage of marks. Marks are also given for assignments and project work so the students have to submit them on time.

Internships

Internship are provided to other courses students. Being a literature students we did not had any internships. Most of the internships are provided by the university itself but if students want they can go for internships of their choice. They were also offered stipend.

Loans and Scholarships

I don’t this so the college provides any loan. A lot of scholarships are provided for the college it is even provided to girl students. Scholarships are provided upto 75%.

Remarks

My experience at NIU has been great. Most of the faculty is great and the course curricukum is alos updated. The placement of the university is decent and over all the above I got to meet so many people from different places. There are a number of events in which students can participate and showcase their hidden talents.

Entrance Exam

I got admitted in the college based on my mat score. I score 80 percentile and after consulting family and fronds I took admission in this college. The campus is also very beautiful.

Fees

The fee is far low as compared to other popular colleges like amity. I had to pay around 95k per annum including all the extra charges. When compared to the placement packages this fee seems very minimal.

Placements

The university has a dedicated placement cell which ensures that the students get properly trained before the placement seasons begins. This includes mock interview, skill development, aptitude test and more. They even traned us on how to make a good resume. The companies during the plave,ent were less than expected but the placement committee is trying to get more companies. The average package was around 4-4.5 lakhs p.

Hostel and Facilities

The hostel is not located in the college but in some distance. Bus service is provided to and fro to the hostel. The hostel facilities are moderate and not that great. The food of the mess is not that great and basic facility like water and electricity are also not constant. Studnets are provided rooms on sharing basis.

Alumni

There was no alumni meet during my time. The students themselves had to connect with the pasout students. Though they were very friendly. But alumni meet is common event in other college sna dour college should also focus on it. It will be very helpful for students to understand the industry.

Faculty

The faculty of the college had a mix of good and average faculty. Some of them had phd and relevant I industry experience. They taught us with practical examples and industry insights. Also some of them did not had the proper knowledge and just taught from the book. But above all, all of them have ben very understanding.

Campus Life

The campus of the college is beautiful and huge. Even with so much students, there is no discrimination on the basis of caste or gender. Everyone is treated equally. The campus I not jammed up and is quite spacious. There is a also good amount of greenery around. There are events music and dance competition where students can participate.

Academics

The exam structure is not at all hectic students are given enough time to prepare for the exam in my course we had total 4 semester where the exams with mid sem and end sem in each semester. Students also need have good attendance.

Internships

To get industry exposure before graduating internship are provided by the college to the students. All students should go for the internships as it helps a lot during the placement season. We were also taken on industrial visits.

Loans and Scholarships

The college also offers scholarships to students based on their academic score in graduation. Students can get scholarships upto 25% of their fee. I scored 65% in my graduation and was given 15% scholarship on my fee.

Remarks

The college has a lot of activities going on as well as they do emphasize on academics as well. But there is sometimes a clash btw the two and the students should be very clear about it as your academics can suffer and you might face difficulty in the placement time. The faculty is good and the management is quick to make necessary decisions.

Entrance Exam

The admission is based on the entrance conducted by the college or you can also get admitted based on your jee mains score. I got admitted based on the score in the college entrance test. The admission process is simple you apply online/offline and then give the entrance, clear it and lastly appear for a short interview which is very basic if you clear that you are now a student of the college.

Fees

The fee of the college is reasonable and I don’t think students have a trouble with that. Additionally if you good in academics (class 12th or entrance test score) or sports or a student of the J&K you can even get some scholarship.

Placements

The college has a dedicated placement cell which ensures that all the deserving students get placed. Overall the placement is good. The placement data for different streams/braches in different. Brachers like cs and it have the highest placement stats and braches like mech and civil have the lowest. Some of the companies are genpact, hcl, imb, Accenture. The placement package is around 3-5 lakhs.

Hostel and Facilities

I would personally tell you to take PG’s around the college which are available at affordable rate. The college just has a tie with some private hostel and does not have its own. If you take PG you will have no restriction and also get good food I have heard that the food of the tie up hostel is not that great.

Alumni

No ragging and no discrimination in any case, very strict anti-ragging laws so there is a healthy relationship between seniors and juniors. Being a rather new university, the crowd of the college is decent and my seniors never troubled me but only helped me.

Faculty

The faculty of the college is good some are even pasout from iit and nit’s. They have experience and that shows in the class. There teaching methods are different but also there are some young teachers who do not have enough experience management should do something about them rest all is good here.

Campus Life

The campus of the college has a lot of student from international countries so there is a good mix of students from different cultures and religions. It got to meet so many ppl and lean a lot about it. The gender ratio of the college is almost the same, just a bit of an upper case in terms of boys. A lot of activities and now movie promotions have also started to happened and we get to see a lot of starts from very close. There are sports facilities which are a lot of and very good and students win prizes and awards for that.

Academics

My mid terms happed in around mid October and end march. This time is very hectic as we have tio study a lot and the leaves between the exams are never enough. Once the exams are done we get a good break.

Internships

The college does not provide internship though you supposed to do that. You are just given a topic and then you to find the relevant company and then intern for them if they select you. Marjks are given for internship and you have submit a report., The process of internship is fun and also you get to lean a lot I learned a lot there.

Loans and Scholarships

Based on your class 12th amrks you are given internship. The amout varies as per the marks cored. Usually students who score above 80% get this scholarship. Some of friends also got some as they were part of the national and state football/cricket teams. So if you are good in sports you can get that too.

Remarks

The university has always supported students to excel in academic as well as achieve there goals. Faculty has a lot of knowledge and treat all students equally. The university is a total package of facilities you will ever require

Entrance Exam

I got round 70 percent in my undergraduate education and directly selected based on this itself. I chose this university as it was recommended by my friends who have already studied in it and I had also heard good review about it.

Fees

I have paid around rupees 100000 per annum including all charges so stop as compared to all other colleges around the fee is very reasonable.

Placements

The college has a dedicate placement sale and the placement of the college also good. Most of my seniors have got into respectable positions in top companies. Placement cell also helps you to shape your personality and help you with mock interviews. Communication skills is one skill which can get you a good job other than your knowledge about the subject.

Hostel and Facilities

The college provides hostel to everyone. It is a great place for enjoyment as well as studying. Hostels are different for both boys and girls and completely secure as there are security camera installed

Alumni

the alumni meet is organized once in awhile where is students come and motivate us and tell us also fine stories about their college life and corporate life. It is a great way to know whats happening outside as well as help us deciding our career choices.

Faculty

Faculty is very educated and qualified in their respective areas. They have provided me with the required exposure as well as the confidence. They not just actors teachers but also as career guide
