Gautam Buddha University (GBU) was established in the year 2008 under the Uttar Pradesh Gautam Buddha University Act, 2002 U.P Act No (9). It is located in Greater Noida in the state of UP.
The university offers a wide range of courses- undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral degrees with its prime focus on research. The motto of the university is to prepare stellar professionals in competence with the global world. It is UGC approved and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
The Greater Noida campus is spread over 500 acres with around 150 acres dedicated to various water bodies and over 50,000 trees. Also, it is equipped with a number of support facilities like Library, Auditoriums, Computer Centre and even a cricket stadium.

How to Apply?
The University has an online admission portal where interested students can apply by entering their personal details, academic qualifications, recent passport size photograph and signature. The application processing fee of Rs.1200/- should be paid for successful registration.
Students can also opt for Offline mode, by taking print out and mailing the completed form to the University along with a DD of Rs.1200/-, in favour of Chairman, Admissions, Gautam Buddha University payable at Delhi.
The University uses Written test as a criteria for short listing candidates, for which admit card will be released in the month of May, for candidates who had registered by paying the above specified amount.
Valid scores of CAT / MAT / GMAT / CMAT are used to shortlist MBA aspirants, after which the students are invited for the Group discussion and Personal Interview round.
Admissions into Architecture requires, NATA score, Law courses require CLAT scores and M.Tech programs require GATE scores.
The final performance in the GD-PI round along with the scores obtained in the written test are used to select students.
Hostel and Facilities
The university offers a fully residential campus housing 5000 students for girls and boys in the form of 2 girls’ hostels and 3 boy’s hostels. The hostel rooms are available on sharing basis along with facilities like dining and common hall, indoor game facilities, gymnasium and high speed Wi-Fi. There are strict timings that are to be followed by the hostellers.
The hostel staff included the warden, hostel attendants and mess staff who all are very cooperative and provide all the facilities in the timely manner. The food is always available on time and no delay is seen in serving it to the students.
There are limited campus facilities for accommodation available to the students of the university.
The campus offers other facilities like International Centre, sports centre, swimming pool, library, Utility centre, and air conditioned guest house and classrooms to the students ensuring perfect blend of academic resources and leisure option.

1) 3 year Law Degree Course - A candidate who has graduated in any discipline from a recognized University can appear for L.L.B. course
2) Integrated Degree Program - Candidate must have passed 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam or an exam cosidered to be equivalnt to 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam can enrol for integrated degree program (LLB and a first degree in any other subject).
Candidates who have obtained 10+2 Higher secondary exam certificate or a graduate degree after taking up other courses through distance mode are also considered eligible for integrated degree course. But those candidates who have obtained 10+2 Higher secondary exam certificate or a graduate degree through distance mode or from open universities without any basic qualification are not eligible for admission into law courses.
Minimum marks for admission into law courses -
1) 40% for SC/ST candidates
2) 45% for other candidates
