Entrance Exam

I did give any entrance test for admission I just got admitted based on my class 12th score. I had scored 85% in my boards and then just walked into the university admission office. the faculty of the college is very renowned ad well known too

Fees

The fee of the college is around Rs 90k per year and I think for a btech program which is pretty manageable.

Placements

Some of the top recruiting companies are Amazon, Google, Twitter, Accenture, TCS, HCL, Infosys, Lutron, Syntel, Envision, Virtual Software, Koya India Ltd, India Mart. Most of the jobs in the field are IT Industries, Networking, Software Development, Software Testing, Game Development, Apps Development and Database Management System.

Hostel and Facilities

ASU hostels are a perfect place to live away from home. There are separate hostels for girls and boys. The two hostels can accommodate up to 150 boys and 100 girls. The rooms are both single as well as sharing basis. The hostel has all the basic facilities which are there.

Alumni

There are no alumni meet organized by the college. CRC team has groomed us well to compete in the industry and the programmes at ASU left me with not only a tangible set of skills but also organisational and time management skills.

Faculty

The faculty was one of the best things about the college. They are very supporting and very experienced.

Academics

The college follows the semester system and I think if you study throughout the year exam are not going to be that stressful.

Internships

The college does not provide any internship. Study have to find their own but have to submit a report to the college about the internship. I did my at an ecommerce company and was paid around 4k as stipend.

I did not take any loan or scholarship but I think students can get it. You can contact the university for more info.

Remarks

The college provides great career opportunities to journalism student. Post completion of then graduation one can get easily into the media, advertising, writing, editing, photography, public relations and much more. My college experience was great and the faculty is also very understanding.

Entrance Exam

NO I did not give any entarce test to get into then college my admission was just based on my class 12th marks. There was a casual interview also of some students. I scored 86% and did not had to give any interview.

The students have successfully completed their internships with The Times of India, BBC Hindi Radio, NHK Tokyo, All India Radio, Doordarshan, CNN-IBN, TV Today, Aajtak, Zee News and Catch News. They are regularly taken on visits to top media houses such as Radio Mirchi, The Hindustan Times, The Times of India and Prasar Bharati, where they interact with reporters, RJs, anchors, producers and editors. This is how we prepare them for placements.

Hostel and Facilities

The college provides single- or double occupancy rooms depending on availability and student seniority. The residential accommodations are coupled with all facilities. It provides affordable residential accommodation integrated within the campus to cultivate an environment conducive to research and promote dialogue among students, their peers, and faculty members. The ASU hostels are a perfect place to live away from home. It has 2 hostels (1 girl and 1 boy) and each can accommodate around 150 students.

Its CRC team has groomed us well to compete in the industry and the programmes. They help us through their contacts and even come for lectures and friendly talks a few times every year.

The faculty of the college was the best. They were not just teachers but also career and life mentors.

Campus Life

The focus of the University is to promote entrepreneurship, to support research in emerging areas, to facilitate incubation centre activities and promote industry collaborations. We create culture of self-reliance and provide them an environment to take leadership roles in different events and activities during their stay at ASU.

Academics

There are mid sem and end semester examinations. The college follows the semester system. Make sure you have the minimum attendance or the management will not let you sit in the exams.

Internships

No, there is no internship by the college. I and my friends had to look out for intern ship on our own. I interned a small online news portal. But the learning there has helped me through the course and even after graduating.

Loans and Scholarships

The college conducts a test and based on the score of the test students are selected for scholarships. The amount of scholarship goes up to 100%. I am not great when it comes to academics and thus wasn’t selected. I don’t have much info about the loans as I did not take any.

Remarks

I really liked the management department. The management of the college ensure that all the students get the right exposure which is required. They promote industry combinations as well as students and offer leadership qualities which was very helpful for us.

For admission into the college i got admitted based on my CAT score which was around 70% and. The college requires you to have to atleast 50% of your graduation.

Fee of the college is expensive as compared to other colleges. I had to pay a good amount including misc fee. I think they charge the highest fee when it comes to private colleges.

I still don’t know much about it much. I do not have much knowledge about the placement as we are still a comparatively new university.

the faculty of the college is the best. Even have foreign guest faculty is visiting hours from time to time. Most of the domestic faculty is from top institution and are industry experts. Had a great time learning and them.

Campus Life

The campus offers a wide range of extra curricular activities from sports to drama to academicals clubs. The gender ratio of the college is higher on the boys side. Though this cannot be said for all departments as some dept have more female crowd as compared to others. There are also various clubs and the management makes sure that every student is enrolled in atleast 1 club so that they can keep their mind off the academics for atleast some time. Coming to the sports facilities, the sports facilities of the college are good. Popular sports like cricket, football, basketball are there among other sports. There is indoor sports facilities as well. There are sports fest organized every year where a lot of students participate and even students from other college come to compete. Prize distribution is there for the winners. Talking about the events, there are both technical and non technical events organized by the college body in sync with the students authority.
