National Institute Of Food Technology Entrepreneurship And Management (NIFTEM) Sonepat

The National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM), is located in Kundli, Sonipat. It is a Deemed University established in 2012.  It operates autonomously and it is supported by Ministry of Food Processing Industries Government of India.

NIFTEM focuses on research and educaiton in food industry. Institute provides many courses, including a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Food Technology and Management, a Master of Technology (M.Tech) and PhD programs in food technology and supply. It also offers an MBA with a focus on food and agribusiness management.

It provides facilities like a cafeteria, auditorium, library, classrooms, transportation, hostel, gym and laundry services for hostel students. 

NIFTEM got the status of Institute of National Importance in 2021. It is also recognized by UGC.

For admission - B.Tech admissions rely on JEE Main (Paper-1) scores. M.Tech admissions are based on GATE scores. Institute also has its own entrance for MTech admissions. MBA admissions consider CAT/MAT scores.

Rankings - NIFTEM was ranked 151st in Engineering and 24th in Architecture by NIRF in 2023. It also ranks 321st in India and 5915th globally as of 2024. Approximately 90% of students receive placements. Top recruiters include ITC, Britannia and Coca Cola. Average salary package is between 6-7 lakhs per year.
