Kedar Nath Modi University (KN Modi University – DKNMU) was established in Tonk, Rajasthan by Dr. Kedar Nath Modi Foundation
It run programs like B.Arch, BA LLB, Btech, MTech, MBA, MCA, and LLB. The university follows a semester system for its examination and evaluation process. Around 700 students study on the campus spread over 42.29 acres of land. The university also has a focus on skills development and run special coaching for English for students from rural background.
The university encourages students for seamless learning and earn credit for subjects for non-academic subjects like arts, music, and humanities. They are also offered opportunities to pursue internships and gain more practical knowledge. The university also conducts field visits.
The admission into the Btech programs is through JEE, MBA is through CAT / XAT and for LAW through CLAT. The university also accepts other state-level and national level entrance test scores.
Application and Admission Procedure
How to apply
The application form for appearing in the entrance examination conducted by the university can be obtained from admission office. However, the candidates can also download the form from the official website. The application fee can be paid either by demand draft or cash along with the duly filled admission form at the University Admission Counter.
Students can also fill the form online. Such students need to pay the fee online after submitting the form online.
Admission Procedure
Students applying for various diploma courses must have passed matriculation examination with at least 50% marks from a recognised examination board. Students applying for under-graduate courses must have passed 12th standard with at least 50% marks from a recognized board. Students applying for engineering courses must also have appeared for JEE (Main) in addition to clearing 12th standard examination.
For post-graduate courses, the student must have a bachelor’s degree in any stream with at least 50% marks. Students applying for Master of Technology courses must have a valid GATE score.
For admission in MBA and other management courses, the student must have a valid CAT score. Students applying for law courses must have a valid CLAT score. Admission to all diploma courses is based on CET scores followed by merit in qualifying exam and interview.
Hostel and Facilities
Accommodation
The university offers 5 boys hostels and 1 girls hostel. There is one residential complex for faculty. The rooms are allotted on Single/ Triple sharing basis to the students.
The hostel complex is equipped with a gym, common rooms with TVs, mess and university canteen. The hostels are under CCTV Surveillance. All the hostels are well- equipped with a high – speed internet accessible to all the resident students.
Auditorium
The university campus is equipped with a highly comfortable auditorium which is used for conducting various activities of arts, seminars, lectures, concerts, symposiums etc.
Café
The university campus provides a cafeteria, which offers healthy vegetarian and non- vegetarian meals to the students, even late at nights.
Sports
Sports facilities for games like football, cricket, basketball, volleyball and athletics are provided in the campus by the university.
Tech Facilities
The university provides access to a wide range of e-books, journals, CAD labs and multimedia classrooms to the students.

Eligibility
1) 3 year Law Degree Course - A candidate who has graduated in any discipline from a recognized University can appear for L.L.B. course
2) Integrated Degree Program - Candidate must have passed 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam or an exam cosidered to be equivalnt to 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam can enrol for integrated degree program (LLB and a first degree in any other subject).
Candidates who have obtained 10+2 Higher secondary exam certificate or a graduate degree after taking up other courses through distance mode are also considered eligible for integrated degree course. But those candidates who have obtained 10+2 Higher secondary exam certificate or a graduate degree through distance mode or from open universities without any basic qualification are not eligible for admission into law courses.
Minimum marks for admission into law courses -
1) 40% for SC/ST candidates
2) 45% for other candidates
Remarks
My overall experience at this university has been the bets. There is no bad remark I can thnk of about this college. This college has taught me a lot about life.
Entrance Exam
I got admitted based on my UPSEE score.
Fees
Rs 22000 /- per semester fee structure was feasible course fee was undet self finance scheme fee was not very high it was very reasonable and everybody could pay it.
Placements
The placement of the college is decent. I did not take the campus placmenet as I had other plans. Most of my frinds got into decent companies.
Hostel and Facilities
Being a day scolar, I don’t have much insight on the hostel but my frinds tell me gthat the hostel was averahe. The rooms were provided on sharing basis and the basic facilities were provided by the hostel management. Food was not good and they often ate outside.
Alumni
Seniors were very supportive they used to teach us during exams they spent money on us so that we can enjoy they not ragged us but told us how to give introduction.
Faculty
Campus Life
The gender ratio was in favour of the boys but the college also had sizeable girl population. The life at the campus was very enjoyable. There is no discrimination on any grounds.
Academics
Semester system is followed by the college. This involves mid sem and end sem exams. The exam are mostly conducted on time and date sheet is released atleast 1 month before hand. There is abit of delay in result declaration.
Internships
Yes, internship opportunities are provided by the college. Some stipend is also offered and the amount depends on the company and your designation. Also, the duration of the internship is around 45-60 days.
Loans and Scholarships
Yes, some loan facility is provided by the college but I don’t have much info as I did take loan. When it comes to scholarship the candidate can avail the ones which are provided by the state and central government.
Remarks
The college offers a great environment academic as well as extra-curricular activities. There are lot of clubs where students can participate and explore their inner talents. The library of the college is also very huge and comprises of a lot of books and journals, audio, etc.
Entrance Exam
Admission into this college was based on my JEE main score. After the counselling session I was given this college and sends it is one of the best colleges in my school I chose this.
Fees
the fee for the college is at par with other colleges of similar status. I paid around Rs 70,000 as the fee. Which I think is reasonable. Students who want to take hostel have to pay extra. Also some misc fee needs to be paid every year.
Placements
The placement of the college is pretty good. There are a lot of companies that come for placement and the average package was around 5 lacs. Placement Starts during the last year and students need to have clear all back logs if they want to sit for good companies.
Hostel and Facilities
Hostel provided by the hostel is provided by the college and it is pretty spacious and decent. The management has maintained the hostel good and the fee as well as the facilities are satisfactory. The food of the mess is also good.
Alumni
very strong alumni many students from here are practicing at good places. Interaction with alumni and they do not often visit the college which I think can be increasd.
Faculty
Faculty of the college is pretty great. They have a lot of experience as well as have a lot of teaching experience. There very qualified and remain interactive during classes. Then not Biased towards any of the student and most of them have doctorate degrees. They are very friendly with the students and have good knowledge of the subject.
Campus Life
The campus life is ok of the college. There are sports meet, cultural, management, technical, annual fest full store
Academics
The college follows the semester basis pattern. In some subjects the students can sometimes feel stressful. But the exams are conducted on time and the result is also published on time which is a great thing as not many colleges do so. Also students are sometimes giving Grace marks. There is no bias between the top ranking students and the low ranking students and everyone gets the same treatment when it comes to checking the papers.
Internships
You have to arrange the internship on your own and the colleges not provide any kind of internship. Internship in there winter or summer breaks. End of the company varies as per the company and the profile that you apply for full step learning experience in this internship are very much and students should go for them.
Loans and Scholarships
The college has a collaboration with a few banks and educational loan is granted through them. There is also scholarship scheme which is granted on the basis of merit of the students.
Remarks
The best part about college is the campus as it is very well plans and infrastructure is also very update. Lot of extra curricular activities as well. To call in believes that it's not just like academics of the student that is important but also the internal and diet and that is the reason extra curricular activities are very much appreciated here. The faculty is very educated though there as some who are young but that is also ok.
Entrance Exam
For admission in to my program i got admitted to the mat scores. i scored in matter on 180 marks. Post that I also had to go to a casual interview process wear the interview wanted to know about my personal as well as professional aspects of life.
Fees
The fee is moderate and can be affordable my middle class parents.
Placements
Placement. Replacement of the college is very good they are lots companies that come for placements. The average package during my time was around 5 to 8 lacs. Almost all of my bad spot please accept the one so wanted to pursue business.
Hostel and Facilities
The hostel facilities provided by the college. There are the rooms which spacious and have modern infra. There is a separate hostel for girls and boys students. Also admission in to the hostel is on the basis of first come first serve baisis equipped with all the basic facilities
Alumni
Alumni network is pretty strong and this has helped us a lot during the placement season. Some of the companies were that of the alumni companies which were recommended by the alumni. They also come occasionally for orientation.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is very understanding as well as very educated. They not only have the teaching experince but also average industry ezpwerince of about 5 or more years which comes very handy especially when you are teaching a management course.
Campus Life
My campus life was amazing as i got the opportunity to meet some great people and made friends with them. Just the scope and sxposure with extra curricuakr activities was limited duting my time but i think the management has improved that since.
Academics
Internships
Yes internship is necessary for students. The college and shows that every student get internship and the required exposure. Just type in tuesday depends on the company and the designation the average stipend is around 10 to 20k.
Loans and Scholarships
The college does office scholarship facilities to students. This scholarship was provided based on your entrance as well as your secondary school score. I don't think college provide any loan facility.
