IGNOU is one of most popular open universities in the world.  Besides these, most states in India have their own open universities.

IGNOU MBA

The application procedure and the admission process for the IGNOU are as follows:

Step 1: Go to the official website of the IGNOU. See: http://www.ignou.ac.in/

Step 2: Click on Register Online and scroll down and click on Fresh Admission. This will take you to the following portal: https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in/

Step 3: Click on New Registration. Register yourself by giving out all the details asked in the form like the name, phone number, email id, etc.

Step 4: After submitting that, soon the username will be sent to the candidate’s registered phone number. Login through the username and password.

Step 5: Fill out the online application form and upload all the required documents and such include the following:

  • Scanned Photograph
  • Scanned Signature
  • Scanned copy of Age Proof
  • Scanned copy of relevant Educational Qualification
  • Scanned Copy of Experience Certificate (if any)
  • Scanned Copy of Category Certificate, (if any) (SC/ST/OBC)
  • Scanned Copy of BPL Certificate, (if Below Poverty Line)

Step 6: Pay the registration fee of Rs. 300 through Net Banking/Credit card/ Debit Card.

Step 7: The college will review the application sent by the candidate and give a date for the interview round. Admissions are made either directly or through sponsored method.

Step 8: Candidates need to sit for an interview round before the University where they are questioned upon the following:

  • Appearance
  • Ability to communicate.
  • Attitude
  • Mental Alertness
  • General Awareness
  • Each of these carries a maximum of 10 marks.

Step 9: If the candidates score at least 25 out of 50 which is the minimum criteria for selection they will be selected. After payment of the required fees the candidates are given admission to IGNOU.

Additional requirement for Banking and Finance

  • The candidate should have passed the CAIIB examinations of the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance, Mumbai, and been awarded the Institute’s requisite qualification/credentials.

Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University was established on 1st July, 1989 and has become one of the best university for distance and open learning in India. Innovative, Through the technical, vocational, professional and liberal education programmes, and the application of modern communication, YCMOU aims at providing flexible and Open system of education. YCMOU’s School of Commerce and Management is one of the most prestigious management schools in India’s Open Education System. MBA here is a 2 years programme with a maximum duration of 5 years. The medium of instruction is English only. It provides a few specializations in MBA which include Finance, Marketing, HRM, and Manufacture.

Step 1: Go to the official website of the YCMOU. See: https://ycmou.ac.in/home

Step 2: Click on Admissions button and this will redirect you to the following page: https://www.ycmou.ac.in/admissions

Step 3: Go to new Admission see: https://ycmouoa.digitaluniversity.ac/ and click on the register button.

Step 4: Fill out all the information asked in this page https://ycmouoa.digitaluniversity.ac/Register and submit it by clicking on Accept.

Step 5: The candidate will receive the username and password in their phone through message or through email. Enter those details and change password as and what the candidate pleases.

Step 6: Login through that username and password. Here again the candidate needs to fill out all the personal details asked in the application form.

Step 7: Upload all the required documents. The documents include:

Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) MBA

Karnataka State Open University Mysuru established in the year 1992 is a State Public University and came into force in 1996. Initially KSOU was under the Institute of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education (ICC&CE) of the University of Mysore which was established in 1969. The Department of Management Studies and Research was established in 1997 under the purview of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU). At present this department provides 6 specializations in the MBA degree which includes Finance, Marketing, People Management (HR), etc. The main aim of this department of management is to impart management education through the ODL system and also through the online mode in an effective and efficient manner. The duration of MBA is of two years and is semester wise programme under CBCS.

The application procedure and the admission process for the KSOU for self-admission are as follows:

Step 1: Go to the official website https://ksouportal.com/views/Index.aspx

Step 2: Click on admission portal or visit the regional centre.

Step 3: Candidate shall fill the application and select nearest Learner Support Centre and Regional Centre.

Step 4: The candidate must upload the necessary self-attested scanned documents.

Step 5: The candidate must pay the processing fee online.

Step 6: Candidate must visit selected Regional Centers/Headquarters with original documents and one set of photocopies for verification. After document verification, the candidate must pay the stipulated fee.

Step 7: Except for the processing fee, candidates must pay admission fees online. They can obtain their roll number, study materials, and ID card after successful admission.

  • Candidates who have completed a three-year bachelor’s degree in any field of study is eligible to apply.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in their graduation.
  • Candidates must have a professional experience of minimum 3 years.
  • Apart from this, a student must take the Management Entrance Test (MET) organised by Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, or the MAT/CAT/CMAT or any other recognised institute and present their score card to the institute along with other papers to meet the admission eligibility criteria.

Tamil Nadu Open University established in 2002 is the first University in the state to have introduced the credit-based self-learning materials in print as early as 2003. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University initially known as Andhra Pradesh Open University was established in the year 1982. It is the first Open University of India and came with the moto, ‘Education for All.’ The University serves the student community through a vast network of 213 study centres spread across both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states, including 23 regional co-ordination centres and 14 women-only study centres. Even inmates serving life sentences can enrol as students and further their education. It aims at providing quality education and the same kind of education in the distance mode of study. The MBA programme duration is of 2 years with maximum duration of 4 years. The medium of study is English.

Step 3: Fill out the application form and upload the required documents. The documents include:

  • Handwritten Self-Attested Scanned Photocopies of Educational Qualifications – SSC/School Leave Certificate, Previous Education Qualification Certificate (Consolidated Marks Memo, Provisional Certificate). The size of scanned photocopies should be less than 200 kb and only in jpeg/jpg format.
  • Scanned passport size colour photocopies of Photo and Signature of the candidate.

Step 5: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in the entrance examination. The shortlisted candidates will have to pay the required fee and they will get admission after the proper reviewing from the Admission office of the University.
