University of Petroleum and Energy Studies– UPES (Distance Education)

Dehradun’s University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) campus holds 44 acres of land. It was established in 2003 with a vision of to be an institution of Global standing for developing professionally competent talent contributing to nation building. UPES is the first Indian Energy University to be recognized by UGC. With the demand of distance mode of education, it came into being in the year 2007 by UPES.

For 13 years UPES- Center for Continuing Education (CCE) is the only institute offering courses in oil and gas, information technology, power, transportation, computer science, logistics, international business, legal studies, public policy, design, supply chain, aviation. Almost 5500+ learners from global world join and have been graduated in different courses offered by the UPES CCE.

Admission and Application Procedure:

Candidates can apply online by visiting the following link: https://www.cce.upes.ac.in/apply-online. Applicants can apply in any particular courses offered by the University after checking the eligibility of the course. If Applicants are applying offline, they have to submit the following lists of documents for the completion of admission process.

• Original marksheet of class 10^th and 12^th and self attested photocopies.
• Original Passing Certificate and marksheet of last qualifying exam and self attested photocopies.
• Other degree/diploma/certificates (if mentioned in the application form).
• Work Experience certificate(s).
• 2 passport sized photographs.
• Application form fee for all the programs is Rs 1850.
• Candidates can submit the fees online or offline.
• Candidates opting for online mode for payment can submit the fees through:
• Debit card/Credit card
• Net Banking
• RTGS/IFSC
• Candidates opting for offline mode can deliver the documents and Demand Draft to CCE Office.
• Application fees are non-refundable and non-adjustable.

• The University has record of 94% overall placements, 3400+ Recruiters.
• The University also organizes 120+ Industry aligned programs.
• Almost 240+ companies visit the University for Placements every year.
• Prominent Recruiters are ONGC, Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum, Accenture, Amazon, Infosys, Aditya Birla Group, etc.
• The highest package till now was offered Rs 23 lakhs p.a.
• The average package offered by the University is Rs 4.37 lakhs.

Scholarships and Fundings:

• Student who took admission on the merit basis are eligible for 100% Merit Scholarship.
• 100% Merit Scholarship is also for Uttrakhand State Board Toppers.
• There is also 25% scholarship on complete programme for Girls.

1. Applicable on only Tution Fee.
2. Scholarship can be renewed on yearly basis.
3. Attendance shouldn’t be less than 75%.
4. Student shouldn’t have any disciplinary action.

• UPES also offers 50% Scholarships for international PG programmes at academic partner institutes in UK, Europe, USA and Canada.

Approvals:

• Under Section 2(f) of the University Grants Commission (UGC) act, 1956, UPES is recognized by UGC
• University was established in 2003 through UPES act 2003 of the state legislature of Uttrakhand.
• UPES is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
• The University has approval from the Distance Education Board for offering courses through distance learning mode of education.
